Yours is a great site I just found, but my Dell Laptop's entire Media buttons don't work
so I'm looking for the Run Command to re-connect it (Command Shell says it's disconnected).
Anyone know the code?? thanks - linda

WHY IS IT SO EASY TO FIX AND SO COMPLICATED IN THE PLAYER. Thanks!!! My problem was due to the fact that the player was recognizing my music and my itunes folder that had all the same files. Dont know if I even need both but itunes can be abitch so I try not to mess with that folder. I moved it to MY Documents instead of My Music after I followed your instructions. It worked but hopefully itunes will find the itunes folder next time used??? - FFFRRREEEAAAKKKIIINN AAAAAAA MAN

WMP seemed to compile a new library list every time my computer is turned off since I moved all my music to an external hard drive. The article seems to have done the trick (I hope).

Thanks :) - Dystopian

Had to relocate my entire music folder so this will totally clean out my library and get rid of all the duplicates that would have been made had I not.

Thanks a lot :) - forgery

Worked like a charm

For some reason, every song in my library was present twice, duplicated in same album/cd so I would have to make a playlist or listen to each song twice in a row.

Followed the directions and it worked like a charm without any data/song loss.

Thanks, great tip. - not null
