My thoughts are that you probably have the wrong driver installed for your Keyboard. What I would do is go into your Device Manager (For Windows XP: to get to device manager you would right click on your My Computer icon then go to Properties, then click Advanced then Device Manager. For Win Vista: Right Click on Computer then go to Properties, then in the upper left hand side of the window you should see Device Manager). Once in Device Manager, locate your Keyboard in the list, then click on the little Plus next to it and then it should show you the driver installed. For mine it says HID Keyboard. Anyhow to get it to re detect the driver, right click on whatever you have (so for mine I would right click on HID Keyboard...and then Uninstall it, then Reboot) Once you have rebooted it will automatically detect your Keyboard and install the correct driver.
