Liz : Re: Real Player or real player alternative : Squeezebox June 02, 2006, 09:08:23 AM Hi Liz,
Most likely culprit is your firewall blocking it. Make sure that Realplayer has permission in the firewall. : Re: Real Player or real player alternative : Essexboy June 02, 2006, 01:37:11 PM Personnaly I prefer the realplayer alternative, not so much garbage with it. If your firewall is ZA just delete the entry from the programme list and next time you connect ZA will ask for permission again, I assume other firewalls are similar
: Re: Real Player or real player alternative : Cache June 02, 2006, 11:07:00 PM I agree with Essexboy, Alternative is the way to go. Althought you shouldn't have to register to anything or be online to install it.
: Re: Real Player or real player alternative : windowsxp550 July 06, 2006, 08:18:26 AM Hi there Liz,
I know this thread is over a month old so you probably already have this figured out, but... The description of the problem that you gave, sounds like Real Player's installation. If that was a Real Player installation that you were describing then the solution that was given would be right (to check your firewall settings and add an exception to allow Real Player to access the internet). Otherwise, if you wanted to use Real Alternative it is a free utility and you can get it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/real_alternative.cfm Personally, I prefer Real Alternative. : Re: Real Player or real player alternative : Flash July 30, 2006, 01:55:28 PM Sorry
Meant to come back and say that the problem is sorted. Thanks a lot. Liz |
