: Need desktop shortcut to start run + control folder + view detail.

Lots of great info here but what starts "run" (what Program)? I have made a DVD that does all sorts of things using Autoplay Menu Studio. I need a shortcut that opens "explorer\tools\folder\options\view so that my friends can access it easily. Thank you in advance. :dribble:

Not quite sure what you are asking for. If you have the DVD you created setup correctly it should autoplay when inserted into the drive.

If you want your friends to explore the DVD, then I don't think you can 'run' a shortcut to change the folder views for them. That would be almost a virus, in that it would be interfering with personal settings on thier machine.

One way of inviting someone to 'explore' the contents of a disk would be to create a self contained web as a front end, everything can then be hyperlinked.

Thank You But the DVD does just about everything including auto install windows. It currently places a management shortcut folder in all users desktop with many of the .msc shortcuts. They often have difficulty in finding how to change folder views so I wanted to simplify it for them. I finally found how to do it plus a desktop run shortcut. I have made them available for download. The download puts them on all users desktop.
