Basically the subject says it all, my computer shuts down when I put a CD (any kind) , and then I can't turn it back on, it doesn't respond. I have to turn of the cable, to start my computer, but if the CD is still there it turns off again. Before you do that though, try going into Device Manager and removing your CD drive. Then reboot, Windows should detect the drive and reinstall the drivers for it. Right-click on My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager |
