hi,

i just purchased an Envision G19LWk vertical monitor. I am some what happy with it.
All the fonts are not as crisp as on my old monitor (pre flat screen). Even the Icons are some what stretched out

i have done everything i can think of to make the the images on the screen more sharp but nothing works, unless i have missed something

anyone have any suggestions

thanks in advance

When I first changed to an LCD screen, I was disappointed because, as you've found, the display isn't as good as a CRT screen.

There's some things you can do to improve it though. If you have DVI connections on both the screen and the PC, try using that instead. You may need to consult the manual for your monitor in setting it up.

The other is to turn on ClearType:

You should also set the PC resolution to match the optimum for the monitor.

PS - you might want to try the option the MS power toy version of the XP Clear Type Tuner:
