: Captions...

so I have a movie, and it's not really understandable, because of music in the movie. So, is there a way to like add captions, and take out the music? but leave in what the people are saying? Thanks.

Use virtual dub to separate the audio from the movie. Virtualdubwww.virtualdub.org (http://www.virtualdub.org). Usually, it will be MPEG Layer 3 Audio. Split it into separate layers using Audacityhttp://audacity.sourceforge.net (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). Identify the layer which has the music and erase the layer or silence it. I generally use WinDVD creator to separate audio. I don't know of virtual dub. If you want WinDVD trial, go here http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=CorelCom/ProcessLayout&lc=en&ppg=CorelCorp/Trials/TrialController&stepName=null&pid=1177441178774&cid=1180016442125.

Go here and download Ulead trial. It supports .asf files.

Load the video, play it a click on the music tab. It will give you the option for muting music.
