can someone tell me how i can upload a avatar i have made i cant seem to get it to upload  can someone tell the idots guide of how to do it

sorry forgot to say its one i made using another site

At the top of the forum pages, click on 'Profile'. Near the bottom of your profile page you will see an option to upload an avatar from your own machine.

As long as it's a suitable size, you'll be able to upload it.

hi dave i have made an avatar at a site ive saved it in my pictures and tried to upload it using the browse button then i select the picture (gif format size 9.50 kb when i try to upload it i get some sort of error message

Done - but it's only linked to the URL of your avatar, not uploaded to this site.

All I did was go to your link for the avatar, copy it and then went into your profile (something you can do too) and point the avatar location to the link.

hi squeezebox ( something you could do )  i dont know how
when i clicked on the link in the above post it took me to vault 9 and i could see no picture of my avatar just 3 red cross down near the bottom
unlss im missing something glad you sorted it anyway.

The reason your link didn't work was because of the space in the file name. If you had saved your file as 'teakgoblin.jpg' it wouldn;t have been a problem.

To overcome that in the link you need to 'code the space' like so:

http://www.madavatar.net/madav/000000/10/11/416/15/53/TEAK%20GOBLIN.jpg

The %20 for the space makes the link work.

1. Cutting and pasting the code for colour to the right place in your post.
2. Taking off the 'disable BB code" option in your post.
