That did the trick. So far everything is back to normal. I appreciate your help and thank you for being so responsive for what I am sure is considered a minor issue.
I had a new hard drive put in a few months ago but otherwise I haven't updated or changed Office. The problem just occurred yesterday. The only thing I have run of late is install an update for MSN Premium.
Would you mind telling me how to do a system restore?
I am new to this forum but would really appreciate your assistance with an issue affecting my PC. Anytime I try to open an excel or word file I am getting an error message that "Your operating system is not configured to run this application". Please let me know if there is anything I can do to resolve this issue.
