1i don’t know how to check the process svchost.exe is allowed internet access in my firewall configuration

2 time doesn’t update either says “an error occurred while windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com.

3 is dependant on 1and 2

4 is dependant on 1 2 and 3

5 that command yielded no results  an hour glass on the mouse came up then went away with out doing any thing

thanks

the plot thickens i went to try and do a custom download so i could select the validation tool for download like you guys said and then it  said it was downloading a list of all the things I needed to get updates and I couldn’t even do that and it just said unsuccessful install of validation tool and to look at my history i haven’t updated since July 13 05 so yea that’s probably an issue that was unknown to me and i cant i do have a warranty however i cant get to a good enough connection to have a Microsoft employee do some remote access work also I would like to do this  fix it #Word Censored# on my own any tips peeps thanks

How do you dl just the validation tool?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if it matters the last sucessfull update was malicious software removal too kb890830 and the source has always been automatic updates

when i shut down my computer the memory space available decreases(i defrag on a daily basis so i pay close attention to file space on my computer)

if i do a disk error check when i restart it doesn’t happen

if my computer goes in to hibernate it doesn’t happen

also in addition is this file [svchost.exe] a windows related thing if so is it normal to have like7 of them running in the processes window?

is that second thing related to my main problem
