16  Windows XP Assistance / General Problems / sfc on XP Pro faulty on: May 11, 2006, 12:10:38 AM
hey there,

I have a totally new problem with sfc now. I'm hopin someone could help with this, if you could be so kind. Yesterday i wiped my drive clean using a floppy(webroot disc wiper). Partitioned and installed XP Pro sp2. The first thing i did after my desktop fully loaded was try sfc /scannow. The command prompt window opened for a milli second and then shut down. It won't start at all. What can i do to resolve this? Is there a quick way to get it working.?Please, I really need some instructions.

i have a problem i think, maybe you could help me if possible.
ive used it afew times with no problems in the past. the last time i used the system file checker, something different happened. i kept getting a message "the installed application is newer than the disc". is this unusual or common?
im not even sure it worked that time for me
