Hope you enjoy your tour. I'm off on a cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at the beginning of May. Two weeks around the Baltic countries, visiting eight different countries.
The menu in BIOS is where you should find 'Integrated Peripherals', but they can vary in menu options considerably. Have a look at the guide below, might help:
I'm not familiar with Comodo, but are these trojans being detected in a System Restore point? Try turning off System Restore, then reboot and turn it back on again.
Alternatively, try scanning with Comodo in Safe Mode.
Why do you think you need to update some drivers? On the premise that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", I have never updated any drivers because everything works just fine.
If you are having a problem, then the site to get new drivers from will depend on which driver is causing the problem. For example, if your video card drivers are a problem, then you would be best to go to the manufacturer's site for update or replacement.
Windows can also locate updates directly from device manager if needed.
Not sure what you mean by 'post in other threads'. Do you mean mentioning FixmyXP in other forums? If so that's fine. If you mean posting suggestions or advice on other requests for help, that's fine too. (I 'tweaked' one of yours, and it was a good answer.)
There's no need to 'repay' us, your thanks is enough.
Where are you off to on tour? Is that a pleasure trip?
If so, it may be that the BIOS is trying to boot from Lan (network). You need to go into the BIOS and change the boot sequence - CD-ROM, HDD, Floppy is a sensible boot order.
Used to help set the monitor display. Compaq's only.
Question one: Have you uninstalled all things HP printer? Question two: Have you deleted the HP printer icon that is showing in the screen shot of your printers?
If the answer to either is 'no', get to it and complete the job. Then let Essexboy do any further analysis that's required.
After it looks like your PC is working OK - we'll see about sorting out an installation of the printer.

Guess what, I may be moving to www.fixmyvista.com. (But dont count on it dave, I still have a login ID and your 'pinched' signature.
FixmyVista isn't doing much, might be better to stay here. Are you thinking of getting a new machine?
As well as making sure you have uninstalled every program associated with your printer, go into Control Panel/Printers & Faxes and make sure that you don't still have any printer showing. Delete if there is.
Also - make sure your printer isn't connected to the computer.
