1  Windows XP Assistance / Installation, Startup or Shutdown Problems / Uninstall Files on: May 30, 2006, 03:08:21 PM
A very simple question: I installed WinXP Pro several months ago on top of Win ME. I notice that I now have a bunch of files in C:\Windows. They all look like this: $NTUninstallKB873339$. I assume that these are for uninstalling Win XP and returning to Win ME.
My question is what's the best way to delete these files. My temptation is to delete them manually; but I suspect that there are other related files sitting in sections of Windows that also should be deleted. What's the best way to get rid of all the uninstall and related files. thanks Jotto
