Welcome back.
I use revo anyway so that's a no go.
To be honest I'm not that bothered.
I've migrated to Thunderbird and find that better myself.
I'll have another look at it when I get back from holiday.
I'm in Bali at the moment.
Wife's having her nails done so I shot into a cafe. ylaugh
It's hot very hot.
I love it.
3  Windows XP Assistance / Internet and Networking / Problems with Incredimail on: April 23, 2008, 08:19:15 AM
I've been using Incredimail for years now with no bother.
The wife likes it more than me.
Anyway the other day it's decided not to open.
I've sent the crash report off but have heard nothing.
I reformatted the other week so I have all my addresses OK.
I have done all the usual things.
Anti virus ,spyware and malware checks,no problems
Restore,uninstall and reinstall.
Nothing helps.
My PC is running fine and I have no problems at all.
I just can't think what might have caused it.
It's not as if I installed anything or changed anything it just stopped working.
Any clues as to what might be causing it.
Corrupt file some where,registry error??
Tell me what you'd like me to run to give any clues.
Thanks.
Keith

Now each time I start the button searches for the icon folder to load.
I found this out when I put the icon away somewhere different from when I first set it up.
Is there any way of putting my icon in with the others in the system 32 folder or is it a Microsoft complete file that can't be accessed?

Sorted it.
First I went into the program files of tweak xp and made a copy of the icon.
Then by properties of my new short cut, short cut, change icon.
I then browsed to copy of the icon and bingo.
I have it so the arrow indicating short cut is missing.
I then unistalled tweak XP then replaced the icon.
Sorted.
learnt something else today then.
I'll forget next week.

Right got that far.
Now the icon I use at the moment is a nice green button.
How can I make my new short cut into a nice looking icon.

It's the restart I really want.
Will it be this then.

%windir%\system32\restart.exe -r -t 0

I have been using Secunia Software Inspector for a little while from the site.

http://secunia.com/software_inspector/

So I thought I'd try the program.

https://psi.secunia.com/

It works really well and even directs you to the sites to update.
This morning it told me about microwsoft updates before the update tool told me.
Also it told me to update Java to update 4 when the Java on my machine says I have the latest update. It did the same last week for a few programs I have.

Also I came across this uninstaler that also works really well.
Best thing it always creates a restore point when ever you use it.
It uses the program own installer first then directs you to the removal of the registry entries as well.
You have complete control to chose.
I've used it to uninstall a lot of programs this last week with no problems at all.

I have been doing a bit of house cleaning.
Removing old programs I don't use or have found better ones doing the same thing.
Now I have always kept a restart button in my quick start menu.
When I uninstalled tweak XP I found the short cut in my menu no longer works.
I just reinstalled and got it back again.
What I want to know.Is it possible to create a short cut without having Tweak XP installed?
I never use the program at all now.
I seem to remember having the log off button, restart, show desktop and shut-down buttons
on the desktop after reformatting the last time.
Can't remember for sure.
Got any ideas?I'm sure it can be done.
Maybe there's a key board short cut to restart or something?

E Bay can be a risk sometimes, but then again you can get want you want.
I just bought a car Yesterday.Absolute beauty,just as described,saved myself a fortune(£400 or more)
There is a seller doing XP SP2 disk sealed,with a 99% feedback,with over 8000 sales
You can't really doubt that's genuine.
13  Windows XP Assistance / Multimedia, Audio, Video / Re: WMV not saving songs to library automatically on: November 07, 2007, 06:59:05 AM
What I think you'll find is that files are not saved to WMP.
All that happens is that WMP links to the files.
So if you delete the files WMP can't find them.
Do you not put your downloaded music into your "my music" folder?
I think you'll find this is true to all music players they just link to the files.
Can you imagine what it would be like if you had half a dozen players all storing the files?
Your hard drive would fill up in no time at all.
I have over 25gb of music on my PC.
So if WMP stored it,winamp stored it,real player stored it.
My drive would have no room left.
I hope all your files are non copy write,it's very naughty to share copy write files. ybiggrin
