I have made several attempts to download this but get as far as the installatiion and up to registering it and then it tells me I am not connected to the internet when I am - I am on broadband - any ideas.

Hi Liz,

Most likely culprit is your firewall blocking it. Make sure that Realplayer has permission in the firewall.

Personnaly I prefer the realplayer alternative, not so much garbage with it.  If your firewall is ZA just delete the entry from the programme list and next time you connect ZA will ask for permission again, I assume other firewalls are similar

I agree with Essexboy, Alternative is the way to go. Althought you shouldn't have to register to anything or be online to install it.

Hi there Liz,

I know this thread is over a month old so you probably already have this figured out, but...

The description of the problem that you gave, sounds like Real Player's installation.   If that was a Real Player installation that you were describing then the solution that was given would be right (to check your firewall settings and add an exception to allow Real Player to access the internet).

Otherwise, if you wanted to use Real Alternative it is a free utility and you can get it here:

Personally, I prefer Real Alternative.
