Got a customer who is no omline at all but he has a G o m Player so that he can play his dvd's which has all the codec installed.

The problem he has found and which I cant figure out is there is no sound coming though when the dvd is playing, it is showing sounds are playing but nothing coming out speakers at all.
put in a music cd or certain other dvd's and sound plays ok.

would be grateful for your feed back.

Hmm...so you say that this happens only on one DVD?

If other movies/DVD's work, then I would suspect this to be a CODEC or VIdeo player issue.   To check the CODECs, try using a CODEC identifier utility.  They are free.  You can download one from here:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=38#38

There are multiple CODEC identifier programs on the page I just gave you, but I would either use AVICodec or GSpot (they are the best ones in my opinion).

Once you have downloaded And Installed one of the CODEC Identifiers, run it and then open the movie   The CODEC indentifier will tell you which Audio CODECs and Video CODECs are needed.  Then go into Device Manager, then expand the sound, video and audio controllers and then go into the Audio Codecs and check to make sure you have the needed audio Codec, then do the same for the Video Codec.

--------

If that doesn't work, it could be a Video player issue.  Which Video player are you using?   Try getting another player, from here:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=11#11

and then try opening the movie.

See  if that works, Don.
