Hi! I have a P4P800-MX asus motherboard and I am trying to install a SATA drive and can seem to be able to load a mbr on it so I can install XP Pro.

What is your current OS.  If you are going for a clean install on XP then during the start-up sequence of the instalation (assuming you are installing from CD) you are given the option to install SATA drivers.  I believe it says something like "To install SATA drivers press F6 now" it will be on the bottom of the screen  when in the pseudo-DOS mode
