To remove that pesky Windows Messenger Once and for All: 

Click Start, then Run.  Copy/Paste the following then click OK

 
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection%windir%infmsmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
 




 
Reboot
your computer
