Article: Turn Off System Beeps
 Ever get annoyed by those system beeps (the ones that sound like they are coming from a primitive 1980’s computer)?  Well, they can be turned off (thank goodness!).  To turn off system beeps, follow this guide…
 


  or by using another method.   Modify the registry at your own risk, Every effort has been made to ensure that registry edit instructions are correct and safe.  FixMyXP cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your system by using this guide.

Before beginning this guide, please do this

  Navigate to the following key:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelSound
   



 
  On the right hand side, locate the string named Beep, double click on it, and change the value to no
   


 
 
   Reboot your computer.
