I have a .reg file in my documents and its been there for ages but I never knew what to do with it. I didn't want to delete it in case it was needed and didn't want to add it to the registry in case it was malicious. I have done some searches for it but came up with nothing. Should I just delete it?
FILE: cc_20060502_0356.reg

Strum,

Can you post the contents of the REG file for us?   To do so, you will have to right click on the REG file and select EDIT.  That will open up your text editor, Notepad, and will show you the contents of that Particular REG file.

Copy and Paste, the contents so I/we can get a better look at what the REG file contains

Strum make sure it is right click, please don't left click it. Or it will merge into your registry..

Not true :yghost: .  It gives a warning box that asks if you are sure you want to merge the Reg file into the registry.  From therer it allows you to cancel out before it actually merges into the registry.  So even if Sturm accidentally clicked with the left button, he could still cancel before it merged into the registry.

But, yes it is a good idea to restress the right click (since it is not the norm button that most people are used to clicking)

Wow its a big file incuding a lot of programs.
What shall I do with it?
These are actually installed programs that I have in the file list...  


In fact it lookks like a log of my entire system! ? ? ? Theres so much data the site won't let me post it!

If the file is just sitting on your desktop, and everything is all working fine, then there's no need to run it to 'fix' registry.

Just delete it Strum.

So there is no point in deleting it because the next time one run ccleaner it will just be there again. Hello strum then.
