Since everyone it seems is saying that "live" is just the program on the server as opposed to the same program in the user's comp and will be the next big thing, if so:
1) I wonder how MS will make money if the need to have the application on ones computer disapears, a clear example being live "Office apps" since that is one of its two main earners.
2)Will this "live" idea will also cut down the malware problem or add to it?
3)Also, would it decrease the need to have a great power large capasity comp, except for gaming?

Being serious, what do you understand by the new Windows Live services?
Is it going to give full office services without needing the software?
Personally, I like to have control over all my work and wouldn't like the idea of having to work on line. Where would sensitive data end up????

"Live" is Microsoft's strategy for software and services that are not out of a CD, something new to them, it is their term for their Internet strategy I guess. There are currently 24 Live services in beta, and it's estimated about 48 in development.
It certainly would be nice to have something like computer anywhere, or plug and play, or text editing on line.
I have asked this question elsewhere, I always do. The replies came:
a) it will probably not be meant for low end users(counter my reflection since I have thought that if the donkeywork was done on line one would not need so much crunching power)
b)it is probably MS's counter strategy to Google(I agree with this)
