My Outlook Express doesn't receive forwarded email (or sent directly) from MY Outlook Express address or forwarded (or sent directly) from MY Yahoo address but it does receive email forwarded from my wife's Yahoo address.  This is all on the same computer, a Dell laptop Inspiron 8100 with XP (SP2.)  As far as I know I am receiving all other email.  This problem started in the last few weeks and I don't remember doing anything to cause it.   Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what the answer might be, seems like an odd problem. Things that could affect it:

-  You have incorrectly typed your own email address when sending.
-  You have a message rule that has attached itself to messages with your own address in the from field.
-  You have some spam filtering software software at either your ISP or on your PC that has falsely labelled messages from your own address as spam.

I had a contact's messages all bounce back to me as an unknown host recently. I couldn't see anything unusual about the address I had and it was to a well known ISP's mail server. Eventually I resolved it by copying the address again from an original message - then it was fine. I never found the reason why, unless there's a bug on my keyboard!!

If you need any help or pointers in checking out the above suggestions, just ask.

I don't believe I have a problem with the three things you mentioned but I still have the problem.

I am confused by a few things with your question...

My Outlook Express doesn't receive forwarded email (or sent directly) from MY Outlook Express address or forwarded (or sent directly) ...

Outlook Express, by itself, does not have it's own email address.  You configure it to use other existing email addresses.   So there is no such thing as a Outlook Express address.   If you are not sure which address is configured, go to Tools then Accounts the click on the mail tab.  These are your email accounts.   You can further inspect each accounts configurations options by clicking on properties

I am sorry I didn't explain that I have an EARTHLINK.NET email address.  I contacted Earthlink and they found one of my PORTS was wrong.  I changed that and it seemed to correct my problem.  I want to thank all of you for your time and trouble.
