I had an email from a mate and I have no ideas so any help or suggestions greatly appreciated! Cheers!

...Im battling with copying mp3s to an MP3 player using Windows Media Player 10 and its doing my nut in!!!
Heres the problem:-

I Create a sync list in WMP10
select device to sync - (E:)
Start Sync
files end up on mp3 player (E:) but they are in number/alplabetical order instead of the playlist order.... so wrong running order!!!!
Same thing happens if i just copy/drag files to the  player(E) ,they always end up in numerical/alpha order. I cant find any appropriate settingS.

Also, when burning to CDA in Nero, the Artist, Track title and time appear in the display of all CD players but, when burning to CDA in WMP10 only the time is displayed.

Any clues would be great!

Strum,

A way around this problem is to change the file names slightly.  For example, if this was the desired music list order (please note that I am making up shortened music list for this example, obviously this is not the same list as your friend has)

Journey-Open Arms.mp3
Sum41-In Too Deep.mp3
LennyKravitz-Fly Away.mp3
Metallica-Hero of the Day.mp3
ACDC-Hells Bells.mp3
Eminem-Shake That Ass.mp3
LippsInc-Funkytown.mp3

Then to keep the exact order, do this to each filename....

1-Journey-Open Arms.mp3
2-Sum41-In Too Deep.mp3
3-LennyKravitz-Fly Away.mp3
4-Metallica-Hero of the Day.mp3
5-ACDC-Hells Bells.mp3
6-Eminem-Shake That Ass.mp3
7-LippsInc-Funkytown.mp3

Then transfer the songs to the mp3 player with the new filenames and then it will be sorted correctly
