Hi friends,
Last week I've bought an second hand 30 Gb. toshiba HDD for my laptop to improve the storage space, etc.
Surprise ! - the BIOS says the hdd it's coded ! (?) ybiggrin
I hardly tried to find that wich sold me the device but I didn't find him.
What I have to ? Can I recover the hdd ? Can anybody help me, please ?

Hi Roland,

Are you trying to use this drive as a replacement for the existing one?

I'm not having any success in looking for a solution for a hard drive that is "coded" so I'm not sure what you  mean by this. I found thread elsewhere that might help though:

Have a look and see if it is similar to the problem you are having. The last post in the thread offers a solution to try.
