HI ,

I am having dell dimension 8400 desktop computer and yesterday I had a problem with the PHILIPS DVD-RW 8631 drive , I couldnt locate the drive on my computer and when I went to device manager , I could see a yellow exclamation mark.I am not quite sure whether Its a driver or hardware problem.Also I went to dell support site I found the driver but its not working.
Can some one help me

In Device Manager, did you try deleting the driver with the yellow flag? Windows should then detect it on a reboot and (hopefully) find the drivers it needs to fix it.

If that doesn't work - did you download the drivers from Dell? Did you try updating the drivers using the downloaded file?
