Hello Nice to meet everyone. Tina, my wife  and I hope you can help us. We have a windows XP media Edition (a1420n). Muvee producer 4.5  and Muvee producer unplugged 1.2 came as a bundle with the computer but recently it will not open anymore. It is giving us " Runtime error" or " runtime Javascript error". We have not been able to resolve the problem using Hp help or tech support. And the only way I can make it work for a short time is if I dowload the trial version of Muvee producer 6.0. But We really have two questions. Since it came as a bundle when we bought the comp don't they offer free upgrade or support for that software. And also why do they give a version that is clearly limited if it is the trial version. We thought we bought the software. But they predownloaded it so there is no type of backup disc or program to fall back on. We would sincerely appreciate any help you could give us.

I was unable to find a free download of the software, so I suggest you do one of the following:

1. Ask HP for a recovery disc plus software bundle - they may charge you for it.

2. Look on your machine for an additional virtual drive (partition) where HP will have included restore folders. i386 is likely to be a folder. There may be the installs for bundled software too. The drive is most liekly to show as 'D'.

3. Upgrade your software, or buy something else.

If a file needed by the program has become corrupted or damage, a reinstall is often the only way to fix it. If you don't have a disc (or copy on 'D') you won't be able to do this.

I have Media Center Edition, but I have never heard of Muvee Producer...?
Is this something that works through MCE (meaning do you first have to open Media Center to get to the program)?
