my friends computer got messed up bad,cant enter set-up,boot menu,only reboot safe mode,computer went back to when he first got it,the time jumped 2hours ahead,cant enter MMC,or services,ive never seen anything like it,any help would be great

I'm not quite clear about the status.

Are you able to start in Safe Mode?

You say it was put back to the 'day he first got it'. How did you do that? Was it using System Restore, or did you use a supplied recovery disc?

Do you have a recovery disc? You might be needing it at some stage.

Does it now start normally, but you are unable to access MMC or Services?
