I didn't save my word document, where can I find it?

I was typing a long essay and I accidentally closed my word and it didn't do an automatic save or anything like that.
I tried looking in my temp folder, but found nothing. Is there any way to get the stuff back? Please help!

Thanks

If you didn't name it and save it at any stage, then there is no way you can retrieve what you typed.

Sorry, but it's back to the start again.

You might be thinking of the AutoSave feature.

The Autosave is a feature in Word 2002, Word 2003, & Word 2007 that does an Autosave for you, But, it only works when there is a sudden disruption of your program (ex. Power Failure, Program Crash).  It doesn't work when you manually close out the program and don't save.

You can read more about AutoSave on Microsofts website.  Here is a link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/107686
