hi there....
<<<<<<IT SEEMS THAT NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER TO THIS>>>>>>>>
                                         !!!!STRANGE!!!!
this is rex here and i came up with a new problem with my computer.
very recently i reformated my hard drive and after that if i play any audio mp3 track
it works fine but if i do any other thing along with it suppose i am on line or using yahoo messanges
the sound becomes choppy and it breaks up.....
simply refreshing the desktop makes the sound choppy at times
this was not the case a few days back.....
i tried to uninstall and reinstall the sound drirers and also tried to update the realtek sound drivers from device manager
i was thinking shall i try to delete the filters....
will that help or something else that u suggest

and another issue that is constantly bothering me but that is not a concern is that
when i try to open any video from you tube,.com the audio and video is choppy and it breaks up
but it at times works fine if i use mozilla sted to ie6

This sounds like a memory problem, but there are some things you might want to check:

1. Have you got XP fully updated, SP2 etc?

2. Set the Virtual Memory to let Windows manage it.

3. Updated codecs for WMP.
