WMP11 Missing Length and Not Scrolling

Hi
I am trying to play .MPG files in an embedded player (window media player 11) however the scroll bar is not moving, and the pause resets it to the beginning.
This is only when it is being played within frames - if I take the individual frame and open it in a new window it works fine.
The codec being used is DVD Express Audio Decoder.
Under properties, it says Media Type: Picture which I assume is the cause of this - though it clearly isnt a picture (is a video), and only recognises it as such when played within frames. Also, it doesn't display anything for length of the video.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks.

WMP is a 'buggy' sort of player, especially if you don't have the right codecs.
Try VLC player (it's free)
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
and if the file plays properly in that, then the problem with WMP is most likely due to codecs.

Hi, thanks - it does play on a different computer with different codecs - so I'm pretty sure its a codec related issue.
Thoguh, I'm wondering why codecs should make a difference when it works when I dont play it on a frame based page - and only doens't work in frames. (And even then, sometimes it works).
