HI folks!! I am new to this site.

When I start my computer I get an error message as "xmnt2002 program not found. windows will skip autochek"and then the computer will start normally. Please explain what this message means. Is it any thing serious or will it affect performance of my computer? I tried to repair through my OS CD but then message comes as the files in the CD are older than in your computer so better abort. I bought this laptop in 2003 with the bundled Windows XP Home.

I am finding it difficult to start my computer in safe mode. How to get into safe mode? I tried through the help in XP but it does not work?

The error message you are getting is related to Partition Manager. There's a solution in the topic on this link:

To get to Safe Mode, keep tapping F8 as the computer boots up, you should get the menu. (Sometimes F5 is used instead.)
