Hi, does anyone know if Dragon and be used with an ipod and micromemo microphone? I've just taped 39749823 hours of interviews and need a program that will transcribe it for me?

You have to 'train' speech recognition software which rather limits it to recognising the voice of you, the trainer.

So, I don't think it will work for you in the way you want it to.

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply! good point... so it can only recognise one voice at a time...not two. Can i ask... have you come across any other programs that could do something similiar? Hmmmm, otherwise i guess i need to get some young student to do the job!

Hi Sarah,

Sorry, I can't help you on this one. I've never used Dragon, or any others. I know about them, seen it in action, but never used it. The nearest I got was doing some research and asking others when I was considering buying speech recognition software.

That was a couple of years back, and it may have improved since then, but it would be expensive to find out it didn't do what you wanted. Know a good audio typist?
