Hello fixmyxp members...Sailorman here...I am from Mass USA. Glad to find a forum that will help me address some of my pc issues...I use the pc heavily for media...films , video etc. Have many hard drives and the issue I am looking at now is two of my drives have slowed down to a slow crawl. NOt a virus issue..maybe it is a mechanical issue . I am downloading the material on HD's to other drives but it is slow and I hate to give up on them....

hey man ive been on this web site for a little while and from experience i can say that it sounds like you need to de-frag your H.D.s that should improve your speed there are a great many free defragging tools that are arguably better than the one supplied with windows other than that i would say take them apart as best you can and spray them with some caned air as they are probably dusty from years of use.....

I am a new member here.I found this site through my local newspaper.
And found it very interesting.
