explorer.exe has a virus and keeps restarting help

hello my explorer.exe program has become corupt with a virus.........it loads up runs then shuts down and restarts..please help me

have you tried starting in safe mode? by pressing f8 key when your computer pretty much fist starts; will get you there. from there, if you have anti virus stuff. you should be able to do a scan and hopefully, if you have kept your anti virus up to date, the scan will find it and this problem will be eradicated!

thats pretty much my expertise right now; you will get better help soon if that doesn't help you.

How do you know explorer is corrupted ?

Download & Run HijackThis.exe

Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
