Is AOl your ISP ?

If it isn't then you won't need these running

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan.  Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O2 - BHO: AOL Toolbar Launcher - {7C554162-8CB7-45A4-B8F4-8EA1C75885F9} - C:\Program Files\AOL\AOL Toolbar 5.0\aoltb.dll
O3 - Toolbar: AOL Toolbar - {DE9C389F-3316-41A7-809B-AA305ED9D922} - C:\Program Files\AOL\AOL Toolbar 5.0\aoltb.dll
O8 - Extra context menu item: &AOL Toolbar Search - c:\program files\aol\aol toolbar 5.0\resources\en-US\local\search.html
O9 - Extra button: AOL Toolbar - {3369AF0D-62E9-4bda-8103-B4C75499B578} - C:\Program Files\AOL\AOL Toolbar 5.0\aoltb.dll
O23 - Service: AOL Connectivity Service (AOL ACS) - AOL LLC - C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\ACS\AOLAcsd.exe
O23 - Service: AOL TopSpeed Monitor (AOL TopSpeedMonitor) - America Online, Inc - C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\TopSpeed\2.0\aoltsmon.exe

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.  Close HiJackThis.  Reboot

Avast is running, have you hidden the icons in the system tray ?

i don't know she did all kind of stuff and messed up my computer i think she took the icons off the bottom of my page did a system restore back one day had me in safemode with networking, she really didn't solve anything at all more than likely she made it worse! but i don't want to do a system restore back to yesterday because i already toook all those games off my computer that were causing me probs i just wanna get one game to download the one i was using in the first place and i can't even do that because it can't find an internet connection or something and the internet is on! she also took control of my computer plus how to i find if my other game (expansion of world of wordcraft, bc) is compatable with my computer because it gave me that error message like i told u before, and i want u to look at it because i have no idea but i can type the requirements for you, and plus how do i get this stuff and will there be any money involved if it's not compatable or can i just go to a website and get it , it's called world of warcraft, burning crusade edition, it's an expansion pack from the 1st one it is the second one, www.world of warcraft.com

Never, ever let a tech take charge of your computer they will kill it...   If you can restore back to the 23rd that would undo the changes she made.  I can then work with you to get it back and running again

ok i did it now what does move to chest mean and what do i do after that if anything?delete them or what it won't let me select them though. zone alarm found a trojen horse on my computer so i'm doing advast virus scan but it asked me what to do and i deleted it. also how to get my 1st game to play i found out my 2nd one doesn't meet the requirements, but this time it says a certain file cannot be found or is corrupted (on the first one that worked b4)  also how to get aol from popping up and signing on by itself when it's already running on the computer it says it at the taskbar it says connection available and it worked fine b4 i don't think i would be able to get online without it working lol cause it's my isp

What is the name and location of the Trojan and you should only run ONE antivirus at a time

Moving to the chest quarantines the file so it will no longer work.  However if it turns out to be a false positive you can then restore it, deletion means just that, it is gone forever

Could you run me this programme so that I can see the current state of play

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt  -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Hi Mandy I can see nothing in your log that resembles malware.  Your system should be working properly.  Can you remember the things that the Dell tech had you do ?
