Hi, All-

I found this site from an internet search about extracting the product key from my (legal)XP Home SP2 CD. It worked great- thanks! I'm not sure how activation is going to go, however. Will let you know.

A question- I notice my post to that thread-
http://www.fixmyxp.com/content/view/166/129/
didn't result in my comments immediately getting displayed. Are user posts to such pages held pending moderator review? Dang spammers ruin it for everybody.

I got into desktop PC's in '96 and would describe myself as 'intermediate' skill level. I build PC's and help a number of friends with their machines and software. I own quite a few computers myself (around a dozen) spanning from Win95 486's through P4 boxes. I've graduated to Linux with about 1 year experience so far. I'll keep my hand in with Windows to some degree because it still benefits me and those friends to some degree.

Best, XPdite

Hi, and welcome.

The comments facility on the main site isn't the same as the forum. I'm not sure if the administrator/owner of the site 'approves' comments first - my main role is in administration/moderation of the forum.

So, the delay in a comment appearing  could be down to owner censorship (good practice) or just the coding behind the site. Maybe he'll be along to enlighten us.
