EB, after that I used your links. The stop error is coming again. Arovax Antispy is catching 44 registry problems, where there is are snapshots is the previous page. When I open Adobe Photoshop CS, it says that the monitor profile is invalid. When I shut down windows, there are always two updates. I think there are those of Office 2003. I don't think it will install because office is not genuine and I don't have the installer. My dad bought Office 2007, but for installing it, I have to uninstall Office 2003.

Will it allow you to install 2007 over 2003?

I don't think that this has been mentioned, but have you thought of trying Revo  Uninstaller to remove Office 2003? (And anything else that's clogging the system.)

It appears that when I play games, stop error occurs. There are some files that are missing. Please. I need help. I do not have a XP Professional CD for running sfc /scannow. What do I do?

What files are missing?

Have you progressed any further with the problem with Office?

If it's only games that are giving you an error, are you trying to play games that need a screen resolution that your PC cannot support?

If you don't have the XP CD, do you have a restore disk from the manufacturer?

I am not sure about which files, but I want to run sfc /scannow because I think some files are missing. All these problems started when some one ran combofix.exe.

Where's Essexboy when you need him?
If it's due to Combofix, he needs to advise.

Help needed, EB. Someone ran Combofix. I uninstalled office using the program in http://www.fixmyxp.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,216/topic,1756.0 because it started asking for a CD.
