I have had no experience with it, but from my reading it is an effective troubleshooting system for when windows fails and you want to recover data before reformating. And as a test for new systems prior to a full windows install. Never had the opportunity or disaster to try it. Both links provide the same service but the second one looks dubious as it provides plugins

That's a useful site Fleamailman. I tried it with my HJT log, and it's useful for people that know what they are doing.

It threw up some things as bad that I know to be OK.
