There's nothing we mere mortal Mods can do about this, it's either an admin job or it's not possible on PHP.

Don?  Jason?

I am looking into getting this feature installed.  What I have found is a Email Digest Hack.  What it does is allows you to specifically choose specific threads that you would like to subscribe too, then you set an interval time anywhere from 60 mins to several days in between checks.

Whatever interval you choose, will determine how often it will check for new posts.  If there are new posts, then if you selected that you wanted notification, it will email you.

This sounds like what you are wanting, right?

This hack is a bit tricky, it requires access to telenet into set up a batch cron job.  I have never set up a cron job, but I think I can manage.   Let me know if this is really something that you want, before I invest hours of work into this...

If it's going to be alot of hastle then I wouldn't bother, unless some othetr members would like this hack also.

On a side note: Would you just have to upload the cron.txt to your server then use ter crontab command and poof! done? (keep in mind that I know very little anout *nix when you answer).

How about this...I will add this mod, but it will be a little while.  I have to finish getting the main site structured properly, porting over the content from the html site into the CMS Joomla site.  Also, going to beef up some of the features on the main site.   Things like, more "how to" fixes, guides (I will be asking members if they want to have any of their articles featured), adding a real cool integrated calender, live chat (this is already up....) etc

If after a few weeks, I forget, simple give me a nudge to remind me.
