When viewing the "Who is Online" page it seems to think everyone is viewing the main site. I know for a fact that I wasn't lol, nor was I within 5 minutes of viewing who is online.

Thanks for spotting it as well, Jason is aware of it and is trying to sort it out, he might have to get the programmer back again to find out what is causing it.

Cache,   Can you explain a bit more.  Are you talking about the Who is online located at the bottom of  page here:

http://www.fixmyxp.com/forums/

there are two parts to that Who is Online.  There is the "live" part which shows who is currently online, and then there is a new section that I've added that shows who has signed on in the last 24 hours.  So even if you sign in for a second, then sign out, it would log you onto that list...

I think you guys are thinking of the site setup wrong.  I think you are thinking that the main site and the forum are completely separate from each other?

To clarify, The main site and the Forum are interconnected.  Meaning if you are signed into the forum, then you are also signed into the main site.  So anyone on the forum would show up on the main site.

Additionallly, if someone was logged on, and did not click logout (and instead just closed their browser).  The system will think that they are still on.  There is a idle timeout that is set to 1200 seconds (20 mins).  so  they will still appear "online" to the system until the 20 mins have lapsed.

I can change the idle time, but I didn't want to make it too short .  Cause if I did, then it would keep logging people out if they passed the idle set time.  It would get annoying, at least I think it would....

This is what i meant: http://www.fixmyxp.com/forums/viewonline.php

Like I sead, the "Who is Online" page. I've still to see it say I am where I really am (or have been). the only time it seems to change is when someone is posting a message which it then shows "Posting Message".
