Hi, Yes! I've gone to the WinAmp site forums and none of the help worked. I now turn here.

What's happening is that I get an Error when I open WinAmp. I can't seem to  get into the place where all my songs are. Any Ideas here? On my Admin. user it don't happen. Only happens on Guest and my Limited Accout

I have to use Win. Media player 10 Instead but Ilike WinAmp. The only thing i can do is open to where the songs are located and play them from there.

I've got no idea if this will work but, try right click on Winamp and select "Run as", type in your admin accounts username and pass. See if that helps.

Maybe not much help, but I use Real player for everything, recording, burning etc...great little program...if you have it you can drag and drop all your sounds into it no bother and make playlists etc....sorry I know this doesn't resolve your proble with winamp but maybe an alternative you might consider. As for the administrator stuff...the other guys and gals here will sort you out!

You can however, drag your songs into WinAmp and make a playlist but... this error thing is bothering me. i'm getting help over in the Forums by WinAmp hopefully. But I do use Windows Media Player 10 for now. But I love WinAmp.

Hopefully I'll get it fixed

I think this has to be related to permission settings.  When you install some programs, you probably have seen it before, but one of the questions is... "Make Available.. and your options are, ONLY FOR ME, FOR ALL USERS".

I think when you installed WinAMP you must have selected, ONLY FOR ME.

So the solution would be, in your ADMIN user, uninstall WinAMP and reinstall, but this time make sure to check mark FOR ALL USERS.

Oh no Jason. I always say ONLY FOR ME when downloading anything. But I'm the only user on my pc anyway so should it matter?

Strum,

Since only you use your machine, You should be fine.  Just make sure not to change your username, since the programs you have installed all are set to work with your current username only.

Well, I've found out that WinAmp is performing a option for this.

Why didn't they add this awhile back?!

With you Jason thanks. What if I do set up a new account? make it accessible for all users? It will still be for me only but it was suggested I try a new account to try fix a prob?

The new user account will work, it just won't have access to any program that you installed where you selected "Only for Me".
