Hi all.

I've made a little program that can read a given HijackThis log, then output a new log containing 'What to do' and 'What happens' information for each section of the given log.

It will be permanently hosted on two websites some time soon. Untill then I have uploaded it to a free hosting site. I have no idea how long this free site will keep the file up so please check it out now if you'd like to see it.

It's called HJTHelper:

It's only a console app (runs like command prompt) but it works and is easy to use. All you need to do is pop a HijackThis log into the same folder as the program then run the program.

Note: The source HJT log file must be named exactly: hijackthis.log

Please let me know what you think. I would very much appreciate any feedback.

Unable to open the file using WinZip - is it damaged?

The Winrar compression program I use was the problem (I hope). I've updated the link in my original post, it should decompress with Winzip now.

Hmm, the grand unveiling of my program hampered by compression lol. I'll try totally uninstalling Winrar then just use Winzip.

BTW, can anyone tell me what heppens when you try to unzip it? do you get error message or anything?

OK thanks. That free hosting site is almost certainly changing something. I've removed the link for now. Looks like I'll have to wait till it's got propper hosting. Don you can host it on here if you like. I will need an e-mail addy to send the file to though.

Sorry to mess everyone around.
