Here is what happened.  The site was hacked.  Someone hacked in and put on a Script that innundated the server.  My host didn't know that it was a hacker that did this so they thought I was doing it and they shut the account down.

Whoever did it, also put on a script that pulls fake ghost guest users and  it generates unique IPs for each of them.  I am currently working to figure out this problem.  That is why the site went into lock down mode (so you have to log in before seeing the board).

Cache, don't worry about this site going away, that will not happen.  It will be around for a long time.  I have the domain name fixmyvista paid up for 5 years (and I will extend when the time comes).  fixmyxp is paid up until April 2006, I will be extending it though (since it was my first website, I didn't know if it would take off or not so I only purchased a year).

If the site is pulled again or you see messages like that, just check back in a bit.  I am giving my current host one more chance before switching.  If I switch hosts...it doesn't change anything as far as the users are concerned.  It will be at the same URL.

I have spent awhile on this issue.  It frustrates me that all of this work is because of some jerk decided that they want to mess with the site.

Oh great Uppercrusted one, thanks for your morale boosting comments.
EYE guess it would be one of our mystery guest or AKA's that hacked in.
they're not all as thick as they appear to be.

Oh My Gosh.  Someone is helping me get links without me even knowing who it is

when I view the stats now, from the main site under fixes (it shows how many times a article has been read/viewed).  Look at this:

Do you see? Over 22,000 views on the 99 run command article.  . If you Do a Google Search for  fixmyxp   and now 600 links.  3 days ago, I only had 250.   Most of the new links all reference the 99 Run Commands Article.

I did some more inspecting and the new links are definately new, if you view some of the sites, they show when they posted an article, the ones I inspected said 7 hours ago.

22,000, in two days...wow

Maybe we have finally turned the corner and the snowball effect will start ( I think it already has started).....
