Hi all, hope you all had a good one!
Now back to the headwreck in front of me. 2 questions here that may be related...Q1.
I did a big clean up yesterday, running all AV spyware etc, all fine but today I'm trying to access a website that I have been to before, its a public directory, relatively harmless I would have thought but I'm getting this error message "For security reasons this website has been disabled."
Now is that me messing with security settings yesterday or is it the websites server? Also Q2. Links in outlook express will not work so I have to copy/paste them all. A pain.
Any help as always appreciated.

Happy new year to you all too!

TA!

I think I found out the problem with the links in OE. I had Opera installed and uninstalled it yesterday. I think I had it set as the default browser. I read that I should repair IE by going into add/remove programs and repair it, BUT its not listed??? and Q1, may have been some settings with Spywareblaster but I cannot remember what I was doing?  rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes
Any clues?
Thanks

Go to set programme access and defaults - select custom then set up as you wish

Thanks for that, sorted with OE. Another bit of useful info.

Do you know where the other website error comes from? I looked around and couldn't find anything relevant. I don't know whether its my settings or if the site is down.

Error: "For security reasons this website has been disabled."

Cheers,

Check your security setting for the internet zone in internet explorer - tools - internet options  - security - select medium and see if that cures the problem.  This is the area that security programmes mess with and sometimes they go a bit ott.  Also check your host file at Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host.txt for suspect entries

No its at medium. Maybe their site was closed down by the ISP for some reason. Don't matter, thanks a lot anyway!

Essexboy, real sorry, never got back to this one.  I am setting up gigs for a trans-gender female (don't ask! or do if you like...) friend from San Francisco who is touring Europe with a one-"person" comedy show and the site was a directory for gay/trans stuff in Britain and Ireland. I phoned the people who had the site and they told me that it was closed due to an enormous amount of offensive material being listed.
Thanks for the input anyway.
Cheers!
