Latest defender update available, however there are problems with the installation.  Here is the workaround from MS in the run box copy and paste

Hmmm - I've had two updates, one of which within the last half hour, and no problems at all.

Have you got an iffy OS Essexboy?

In that case it is probably me 'cos I do mess around a lot trying out new programmes, so mayhap I shoulld slow down, but then that would be boring.  Nothing beats trying to recover from a mega crash (sad)

Hi have you got it to run a full systems scan you alter  how it runs in settings.
I have mine to get updates at 18.00 every day if there is any.
If you are up to date you should have a castle showing down in the taskbar with a green shield and a white tick.

This is what definition version I have.

1.14.1436.4 created 02/05/06 at  04.15

hope this helps you.

Also have a look here this may help you

i tried ganging the auto update time actually its the scan time with the auto update set to go before the scan neither of which happed so i ran the scan my self after a minute and its said that it downloaded the updates but i haven’t gotten this fabled green check mark yet

i still have a banner on the home section that reads basically my definitions are 99 days old, how ever it said this yesterday too so it doesn’t seem to be counting right any way

also that command line it sends me to a uninstall progress bar and it uninstalls some thing having to do with defender but i notice no change at all(is that right)

any who thanks for help if any one needs help peeling bananas im here to help
