Hi, once a victims comp is clean it would be nice to say that he should back it up on a DVD, so I am looking amongst the many backup programs for one that is really really easy. In fact the less options the better. Best would be "copy this computer to CD/yes", "The copy of this comp is now compeated, and once the CD is placed in the machine "Waring, this program will restore this computer to the image when last cleaned, OK to proceed/yes". Sheep will be most greatful, promise.

Why not try a few out? There's a good selection.

I was looking at this program the other day.
Maybe this is what your looking for.

http://hdclone.uptodown.com/en/

I think you put the program on disc then use it to boot. You might have to get into bios and change the order of start up so you boot from CD disc.
I haven't got round to trying it yet.
I have all my files backed up on a separate Hard drive connected by USB.
But I was looking for something that would enable me to reformat then keep all my settings.
This looks like it might be the thing.
Of course I can't test it till I reformat.
It will be a while yet I just done one last October.
It done wonders for my PC it has been running sweet ever since.
The only draw back was all the updating from a XP disc three years old. Then installing program after program. Then loading all my information off disc.
Then of course having to change all my PC settings to how I like them .
The whole thing took about five afternoons work.
That's why I brought a separate hard drive to be able to load back ups quicker.Plus saving burning all them back up discs.I can now save as I go along, download something then copy to separate hard drive. No searching for discs, labelling them, then burning them.

I'm also looking here to see if there is something that I fancy more.
