Heres a handy site to scan individual suspicious files. It uses 15 different well known scanners.

Thanks Strum.

This looks like a good resource, however it looks like you have to scan each file one by one.

Here is one of my favorites, also free, it's trend Micros Housecall.  It's a simple one button click to scan your pc.

Yeah, I just thought it would be handy if people wanted to quick scan some individual files.

Yes that would be handy, especially for downloads.  Prior to opening any download you should always scan it for virus's.  Your suggestion would work great in that situation whereas my suggestion wouldn't.

Thanks again Strum

I use jotti to double check any files flagged by my av as suspect, to help eliminate false positives.  That is the main reason for the Jotti site as any files uploaded are forwarded to all participating av vendors to update their databases.  It is not an online scanner like panda and that ilkl

Cool John, and if you're ever feeling a bit of an insanity moment, check out the chill area known as "off topic"
Nice to hear from you. Strange because earlier today I was going to visit your site just to say hello.
Your patience and dedication on your own site is highly commendable.
Cheers!
