XP Home Edition user!!!...Vancouver Island BC

Sure would like to be able to fix the issues I'm having with XP Service Pack 2, which is not being able to view some web content, an example of which is; in this forum I can't see the avatars, nor emoticons...just little x's in boxes!

I've tried several things, and may need to adjust internet options again but seem to have everything enabled including active x ...

I'm ready o blow this thing off and go back to my old copy of Windows 2000.

Thanks,

Dougie

I'll tweak around a bit....security settings are medium, with that not having been a problem in the past...just since I service packed 2 ...but I will look at pop up and my norton fwall...

yup, it's doug lemkay....that's my name and the dlemkay is simply the initial, ya know?

Hope you aren't on the Gulf coast?  I like to try and send a little positive thinking down there lately again as it's looking like that high pressure system keeping Rita at bay is beginning to inch off to the east!

Cheers,

Dougie

I know!  Man it's just one after another down there, last year there was Charley, Frances, Ivan & Jeanne.   And this year it has been Dennis, Katrina & Now Rita.... Charely and Ivan have ranked in the top 10 worst storms of all time prior to this year.  I'm sure that Katrina will be up there too....and now Rita...man, that's bad.

I really think this is all due to global warming....so, each year, these storms will be more and more intense.....scary...

Yeah "Waterworld" wasn't so sci-fi after all. Apparently this Winter/spring are going to be the worst cold snaps in history on this side of the planet. Wrap up!
