help recover lost file

Post by terry brian » Wed Feb 28, 2007 5:07 am

Hi,

I'm searching for an utility to restore erased files. I've lost some, I badly need them back. I want maximum reliability, as the files are important. Which tool can you recommend? (winXP, NTFS)

Recovering erased files may be something you will need a specialist to do for you. This is because, once a file has been deleted, the space on the disk is marked as available to use. New files and data could have been written over the space.

If that has happened, any software you try may not be able to recover the data for you.

PC Inspector is free, and has had some good reviews, worth a try:

If you are unsuccessful with the software, consider looking for a specialist company. A search on Google for 'data recovery' will find a good selection for you to choose from.

Stellar Phoenix NTFS  Data Recovery Software It is a file recovery utility that helps in recovering all-important data lost after an accidental format, virus problems, software malfunction, file or directory deletion, or even sabotage!

Download the demo version from: http://www.stellarinfo.com/recover-windows-nt.htm
Scan your hard drive. If the demo shows the recovered data then save it by getting the full version.
