How do I safe export music??

Post by thedukes_mom » Wed Jul 11, 2007 6:54 pm

My computer is running really slowly, it is at 99% capacity.  How do I safely move my iTunes music files to my external hard drive & still be able to access/burn/listen to music from my iTunes program??

Thank you!!

The first thing you will need to do, is delete some unneeded files.  FIrst, run a disk cleanup, doing that will clear out your Temp files (they are called "Temp" for a reason).

To run Disk Cleanup go to your Start button, then All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, then Disk Cleanup

Run that, then you should clear up enough space to allow you to move your files to your External Hard Disk

I am sorry, maybe I was not clear enough, I am not having a problem because of low disk space, I do not know how to do actual process.  Also I am worried about being able to access music when I do move them.

I am not familiar with Itunes, but I did find this:
